Tile and slate
Majestic Roofing operatives are experienced in both pitched roof replacement and repair.
The choices available for pitched roof coverings are: real slate (usually Spanish slate), artificial slates, concrete tiles or clay tiles.
Roof tiles are available in a range of colours and profiles such as flat, double roman or pantile.

Replace or repair

Flat roofs
EPDM, FELT, STEEL
Flat roofs cost less to build but the surfacing does not last as long.
3-ply felt roofs tend to need some mainenance after about 20 years. Provided only the felt layer is damaged it is possible to patch felt roofs. However, if there has been long term water penetration the structural timbers may need repairing or replacing.
The modern surface covering of choice is now EPDM Rubber. Correctly installed this material is guaranteed by the manufacturer for 25 years, though, if properly maintained is likely to last much longer.
Another new material option for flat roof coverings is plastic coated box steel sheeting. This can be used on either residential or larger commercial roofs.
EPDM rubber can often be laid in a single sheet width so there are no joints.
